How Does It Work?

For pottery painting, our instructors work with everyone individually to help them bring the design of their choice to life on the pre-made piece of their choosing. 

We have several techniques and tools to utilize here, including stencils, stamps, sponges and much, much more. We can even offer custom stencils relating to the occasion for your event or print transferable images right from the internet. 

It is all painted by hand, but using all of the tools listed and with our guidance, it is super easy and fun!  We work with every level of artistic experience and are used to working with those who have none. 

Guests choose from pieces available on our shelves. The pieces we offer are endless: plates, mugs, bowls, vases, frames, plaques, figurines, banks, boxes, platters, tiles, canisters, holiday items galore, ornaments, magnets, knobs, planters, and the list goes on.

Your pottery pieces must be left with us for a week to cure in an industrial ceramic oven called a kiln. This is what makes the piece food and dish-wash safe. We will contact you once they are ready for pick-up, usually in 7-10 days. 

Our minimum is 10 guests. Have less? Just give us a call at 504-835-4155; We have other party options for your intimate gathering!

OUR MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF ADULT GUESTS IN-STUDIO AT THIS TIME IS 20.

We can certainly host events off-site. Just let us know if you are interested in having us come to your venue when you request a custom party below!

 We have a 12-foot counter for you to use for any food, drink, cake, etc. that you might like to bring (you can cater, deliver, or keep it simple, BYOB is a-okay). 

We ask for a $30 deposit from the lead party planner  that is treated as store credit toward his or her purchase. Please read the specifics of your deposit when booking (different fees apply for after hours/ Sunday events). You can arrive 30 minutes prior to you start-time to set-up, if needed.

As for the cost, It is just the price of the pottery piece painted plus a $1 kiln fee,  plus tax. Typically, everyone paints their own design on their own piece of pottery and pays for themselves individually. The prices range from $3 to $125, and there is a $30 minimum per person required for an adult event with a 10 person minimum group.  Paint one piece or two, as long as you reach the $30 minimum per person.  Our mugs, salad plates, and cereal-sized bowls are on average $20, our largest planters and platters are around $40-60.
